Found another interesting article on fixing another weak spot on the coyote, the factory cast cylinder sleeves. It's a pricey repair or upgrade, but if your pushing 1000+ hp on a coyote block it's cheap insurance.

That sounds interesting. I'll have to bookmark that and come back to it when I am more awake, lol.

Found an interesting tidbit, there is two different thread sizes on the side of the head for the exhaust on coyotes. The early ones had a 10 mm by 1.25 thread, and the later ones got a 10 mm by 1.50 thread. Don't know when the change was made, found out when I was checking summit racing for stage 8 locking header bolts and they have two different sets for coyotes.

On a related note, Stainless Works, makes long tube headers for a lot of late model vehicles and some classics out of 304 stainless. They are located in north east Ohio and do free installs for veterans, all year long, not just on veterans day.

That is really cool. I love seeing vets get some help and recognition.

Found an interesting article about the coyote engines.

http://www.mustangandfords.com/featu...return-of-5-0/

Also, AEM has a coyote specific stand alone computer to replace the factory ECM that has more precise tuning and full control of the Ti-VCT

http://www.mustangandfords.com/how-t...-engine-combo/

And for your drooling pleasure,

http://www.mustangandfords.com/news/...-from-5-2l-v8/

That's naturally aspirated, 12 to 1 compression, over 100 hp per liter on pump gas.

Found an article about coyote swaps into vintage mustangs, but a lot of the info could be applied to anything.

It looks right at home in that bay. This may sound strange.... but sitting here reading that, and contemplating..... I'd be more apt to swap a Coyote into my F150 than my Mustang.

That may be different tomorrow though.

You have a 4.6 in the 150 right, then the hard part is done, where ever a 4.6 is the coyotes will bolt right in using the same mounts and trans.
