I finally got around to detailing Hoss today. She looks good all gussied up like this. I still need to vacuum her out, and then I'll get some interior pics.

I also took some scrap metal in over the weekend and in doing so took the plastic tanks off the old radiator. This is a snapshot of the trans cooler inside the radiator.

Looks good. Have you done the J mod to the tranny? I need/want to do both of mine, but I hear it helps with shifting...

Rick, I am hesitant to make any modifications to the trans after finding the piece of a sprag in the pan. It still shifts great, but it is showing some signs of wear. It has almost 215k on it, so it's paid its due. My buddy already has plans for the valve body too... he has shift kit he uses in every 4R70W he builds.

I decided that I was tired of looking at the ugly grille on my truck. It has been faded since I bought it two years ago. Without further ado....

Not bad, now only if the rest of the truck were that easy

It'll do until I get an Expy grille for it. They are hard to find in good shape.

I am really pleased that these exist. Dee Zee makes a kit for it.

EDIT: Here is the kit I want.... (actually - it's similar, not exact)

And here's a link to the kit

And here are the install instructions if anyone else is interested

Just went to the store I bought all of the fans at, and they had one of these. I picked it up for $11.25 - cha-ching.

Posting from the Galaxy.

On the Dee Zee install: I attempted to "install in minutes", as the package says. Apparently that is for trucks that the bolts don't break on. Project on pause until I go down to the wrecking yard a get a new bolt.

EDIT: Here's the hold up on the project....

Yeah, that bastard is in there. My impact wouldn't touch it. I broke it with my own army (left army and right army). I took the tail light out and soaked the little snub poking out with WD-40. Hopefully I can get my vice grips in there and make it happen.
