Ford Fusion - No start, No Crank

I have an automatic Ford Fusion 2 borrowed from a friend for a few days and it just wont start.

I turn the key, the dashboard lights up but nothing happens. The N letter (neutral) starts clipping (different from when I forgot to push the brake - it has a half second delay) and I have a icon on the dashboard "gear with exclamation sign inside - yellow".

The car functioned perfectly. I want to know what should I do because the friend needs it for work when he returns.

I do not know the year of the car but looks exacly like a 2003 model.
