Wheel swaps on F150's

All modern 150's from 2004 up use the same 6 x 135 mm lug pattern except the trucks with the heavy duty payload package, they have a 7 x 150 mm pattern. Anyway, all standard 150 wheels from 04-up are interchangeable.

A few thing to look out for, 07-up truck have the federally mandated TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) the 07-08 used a band type sensor mounted on the inside of the wheel, whereas the 09+ use a sensor mounted on the valve stem.

The factory ford sensors are not interchangeable between styles, it is my understanding the band style uses a different frequency than the stem mounted ones. You can buy aftermarket sensors in both styles in either freq, so if you want you can change out your sensors and use whatever wheel you choose.

Factory wheel sizes are

17's 17 x 7.5" with 5.5" backspacing
18's 18 x 7.5" with 5.5" BS
20's 20 x 8.5" with 6.5" BS
22's 22 x 9.0"

The raptor wheels are 17 x 10.0 for the early ones, while the new raptor wheels are 17 x 8.5"

At one time ford racing had a 20" wheel for the 04-up 150's that was very close to the 08 FX2 wheel but came in 20 x 10 size with 7.25" BS. It looked like the 07-09 gt 500 wheel but had 6 spoke pairs instead of 5

These are nice wheels. If you need the federally mandated Tire Pressure Sensors that fit these wheels on an F150, you can get them at Titan TPMS.

I'm planning to try Fuel Wheels on my F-150. Got any ideas what mud tires should I use and install it with?
