does the 2013 have a one touch close of the moonroof?
As far as resetting the controls, maybe, and that's a BIG maybe, it can be reset like the door one-touch up-down feature: from the closed position, open the window by holding the button and continue holding the button until completely open, after the window has opened all the way, continue holding the button for 10 seconds. Repeat the process closing the window. If that doesn't do it, or royally screws it up, a trip to the dealership is in your friends future.
In answer to your question, here's what it states in the Owner's Guide:
The moonroof and sunscreen controls are located on the overhead console.
The moonroof and sunscreen have a one-touch open and close feature. To stop them during one-touch operation, press the control a second time.
Press and release the rear of the control to open the sunscreen.
Press and release the front of the control to close the sunscreen. If it is open, the moonroof will automatically close before the sunscreen closes. Press and release the rear of the control to open the moonroof. If it is closed, the sunscreen will automatically open before the moonroof opens. The moonroof will stop short of the fully opened position.
