So, I don't know if I mentioned earlier about the Escape suddenly shifting like dung... but it shifts like poo. By my reading I found that a bad EPC could be causing all of these sudden issues, including a leaky axle seal. So my Buddy thought maybe the TPS was bad and causing some driveability issues, and making the EPC go wonky. So I picked one up on his O'reilly account. Look at this sensor that came in a Borg Warner box. Same part number and everything as the original, and has a lifetime warranty.



While it does run better (the old TPS was indeed shot) it still shifts like poo.

He also said for all of the things going on with it, the trans probably has a bad ground.

Two others I looked at today.

This lifted f250 was at a $7000 and under lot. Didn't ask details, but it's a shady lot so I passed.


And this 08 Ranger 4.0 5 speed 4wd. I liked it, but I've gotten used to a full size.

I would have a hard time trying to use a Ranger as a serious truck now.

Nice truck, D. I probably would have gone with the superduty. Dustin, make sure you use 5w30 on oil changes, NOT 10w30/10w40. The tolerances are too tight in the mod motors to run the thicker oil. So, you gonna do the brake upgrade too? How much the new addition run you?
