Shane, have you noticed an improvement in mpg by swapping to the fine wires? Also, did you check out frpp wires?

On my F150, not really. At first I thought that I did, but I noticed I was driving it light on purpose. The only thing that changes mpg's is my driving habits on that thing. Another factor is that it has 3.55's when it should probably have 3.73's or 4.10's for the tires it has on it.

The Escape (it has the 2.3) did get better fuel economy, by 1-2mpg's. It is really decent on gas anyway, so getting a gain there was not expected.

I have looked at the FRPP wireset's and all I see is 90 on one end and 135 on the other. Do you know of any off hand that would have 90 on both sides?

Try MSD-5565. They are for a Chevy, but they should work, 90's on both ends on all 8 wires. These are designed to run on top the valve covers, 5564 are designed to run under the headers...

Those look like they will do the trick. Not a bad price either! I'm guessing I will need to buy one additional wire to go from the cap to the coil. These look like they go to an HEI system.

I actually have an MSD Street Fire coil.

It says it has a coil wire included, but You should be able to purchase just an MSD coil wire if you need one or a different length. I'll be purchasing this set as well, but I won't need a coil wire...

I was doing some reading and comparing, and it looks like autolite has come out with a U groove plug like Accel has, its the xp iridium plug, and they look a couple pennies cheaper...

That's sweet. I might have to try those in the Escape. I've got Finewire's in it now.

I was reading up on them and they have both the finewire and a V-groove technology. Look a little ways down just under the grafts...

Wow, mine are the 4mm Finewire's. I also put those in my F150. Not really looking forward to that job again.

I know the feeling, I did my buddies y2k f150, took me about an hour and a half, and then I had an engine code thrown after I was done. Ran the codes, and had a Maf code. I instantly had a 'doh' moment, I forgot to plug it back in...LOL
